Windows 8.1 Build 9600 has been Composed by Microsoft, is it RTM? Posted: 24 Aug 2013 01:28 PM PDT The WinJS files that are being used as a source of information, an amazing news regarding them is that these WinJS files are released by Microsoft. It has been confirmed now that Microsoft team has composed Windows 8.1 build 9600 on 21st August. The entire build string can be read as 9600.16384.winblue_rtm.130821-1623, that is a little bit changed from a build number that is currently rumoured and that is 9600.16384.winblue_rtm.130822-2140. Now the question arises in our mind whether is it the real Windows 8.1 RTM? The things are just chaotic and it can be speculated only what the currently issued build number means in fact as there is no official statement regarding this issue from Microsoft and still there is no leak from a trustworthy source too. It is obvious that 9600 would be the official RTM, but still we are in a chaotic situation whether Microsoft will make some changes in the 5 digit number or not. Currently, build 9600.16384 is being tested by Microsoft and if everything goes on according to the planning, this build will be transferred to OEM’s. Yet, if any fault is detected, it will be recomposed with a varied 5 digit number and it will be transferred to OEM’s. Though it is a chaos, but still the possibility is that the above mentioned number is RTM and since we do not have a solid information or confirmation regarding it from a trustworthy source, we can just guess.
