Facebook CEO’s Account Hacked; Are you Sure you are Secure Now? Posted: 19 Aug 2013 11:28 AM PDT Khalil Shreateh, a security researcher hacked the Facebook account of the founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg as he was warned time and again that a bug in Facebook spread by any user was enabling others to write anything on a stranger’s wall. This security researcher belongs to Palestine and he found a very harmful bug in the security sector of Facebook that he came to know under the program of Bug Bounty, but Facebook did not pay heed to his warnings. Shreateh violated the rules and hacked the Facebook account of its CEO. It came to know when he used this account to post a statement on the wall in Zuckerberg’s account. He then apologized to the CEO of Facebook for hacking his account. He wrote on the wall of the CEO of Facebook: "I apologize for hacking your account and making a post on this wall, You left no other way for me after all the requests I forwarded to the Facebook Team. I am Khalil Shreateh from Palestine". Following this violation, Shreateh was contacted by the Facebook security team as they wanted to know how did he hack the CEO’s account and then they fixed the bug. Yet, Shreateh would not be able to get the bounty fee because he violated the terms of services of Facebook by using this improper method.
