| Facebook News Feed Ranking Complexity; using 100,000 Different Factors Posted: 16 Aug 2013 01:44 PM PDT Facebook has been using a News Feed since September 2006. Basically Facebook aimed with the News Feed to show the Facebook users their desired and relevant content from their social circles without jumping to their contacts’ profiles. So, Facebook needed to work out a way that could be used to evaluate what was valuable and relevant for every user. EdgeRank is the way that was discovered by Facebook to determine what Facebook wants to show up as an important page to its users every time.
Basically Facebook is trying to evaluate the best content on the basis of the data exposed in the News Feed. It is collected from the updates from your friends, contacts, colleagues and the pages you often visited. It does not consist of the results of your queries. Because Facebook did not concentrate on making perfections in the algorithm. Currently, the ranking algorithm of the News Feed can view at 100,000 different weights or criteria in evaluating which content to show and where to show in the feed. | PC Call of Duty with Better Graphics than the Previous Ones Posted: 16 Aug 2013 01:24 PM PDT Mark Rubin, the executive producer of the game Call of Duty Ghosts explained that the PC version of this fascinating game will get some additional development. So, consequently this game will be the best version of the Call of Duty Ghosts that was not introduced in this series earlier.
The previous versions of this wonderful game, from the Infinity Ward, that were the originator of the CoDs that introduced in the later years had been programmed with the similar graphic qualities such as PlayStation 3 Games or Xbox 360. Now, the PC version of this game has its own graphic qualities, explained Rubin. He went on saying, "this version would look better than all of the previously introduced versions that were designed for PC by the company. The entire team of Rubin has discussed about how stunning is the game. Rubin said, "The team is basically using a higher version in this game. Apart from graphics, he has some other expectations that the versions of this game in the current year may have some parity. When he was asked whether the multiplayer will be different between Playstation 4/Xbox One and PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 versions, he explained these will be definitely different on the basis of graphics. So, it is a pleasant truth that the PC will be surely the winner because it is in the comparison of a lot of multi-platforms. | Windows 8.1 Build 9484 Compiled on August 12, could be Last RTM Build Posted: 16 Aug 2013 01:16 PM PDT It has been a hectic and long process, but finally, the evolution of Windows 8.1 is going to be ended. A few weeks back Windows 8.1 RTM was signed off by Microsoft and it was sent to the respected OEMs for pre-loading and evaluation of the hardware so that it could be launched in time i.e. In October this year. A few days back, a rumor is heard that another RTM escrow is built up and this escrow build is 9484 that was collected on 12th August 2013. The users who are not well versed with the term RTM escrow, should know that it is basically Microsoft’s evolution stage where the company collects the possible figures for RTM. It shows that build 9484 can possibly be the official RTM launched afterwards this year, rather with a contrived decrease to around build number. The complete build string is : 9484.0.winblue_rtm.130812-1706
It was currently exposed by Microsoft that October 17th this year is a specified date for the release of Windows 8.1 for the users of Windows 8 and 18th October 2013 for all of the other users. It is also stated currently that the Windows 8.1 RTM is determined for completion by the end of this month. Isn’t it exciting news for all of you guys? Undoubtedly it is. | Alleged Nokia Windows RT Tablet figured in Red, Contains Verizon logo Posted: 16 Aug 2013 01:06 PM PDT For some time, the users have been getting rumors regarding Nokia may be designing a tablet with Windows RT. Maybe there is some truth in these rumors because the users are waiting for such a device now. The photo below was leaked out on a Chinese Social networking site. It depicts a tablet containing three trademarking logos. One of these logos is visibly Nokia’s and under this logo you will notice "Windows RT" label that clearly points the operating system working on this red tablet. You will notice another very interesting fact regarding this tablet is the Verizon logo and the label 4G LTE.
The sources who leaked this image did not elaborate any hardware specifications of this tablet on the website. If these rumors bear some truth, Nokia will surely launch its Windows RT tablet with a minimum 32GB storage space, a 3.0 USB port, Snapdragon 800 SoC and 10 inches display screen with 1080 Pixels. An AT&T version is also hard to be in the process, but the users should keep one thing in mind that the features explained above are not official so, these may be false. A guess is that Nokia will make an announcement regarding Windows RT Tablet on September 26 in a planned event. | Download iOS 7 Beta 6 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch Posted: 16 Aug 2013 07:54 AM PDT Earlier yesterday, news has been pouring in regarding the possible date for iOS 7 Beta 6 with mostly expecting it not before the coming week but Apple has done it again, and we have an earlier than expected iOS 7 Beta 6 being available for developers. The support for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch is included. Previous Betas did not please many Apple fans since they were primarily released still undergoing a number of developmental changes. And indeed, the later releases confirmed a number of issues being resolved ensuring a smooth functioning of the Beta versions. Apple has been issuing one after another version to make sure the final release is as close to perfection as a company can manage.
It is undeniable that changes to the UI have been the most dramatic in iOS 7 but there are also a number of improved features along with newly added options that require to be noticed. Apart from general improvements to Safari and Maps services, Cupertino has finally integrated a few relaxed folder options that jailbreakers had been pointing out since iOS 4. Also, Control Center is another feature that has brought forward a set of toggles lack of which was the primary reason for a lot of users to turn to Jailbreak. For now, iOS 7 Beta 6 is ready for download so you can go ahead and get it from the site if you are already registered as a developer with Apple. But techmell is going to provide direct download links for iOS 7 beta 6, as it always do. |
