iOS 7 that was made available for downloading just some time ago, is in distress as users are claiming it is not being downloaded to their phones. A dialogue window pops up stating, Software Update Failed. An error occurred downloading iOS 7.0". It is to be mentioned that this problem is being faced by users who are updating the software through wireless or suffer from a shortage of space.

More Powerful Windows Phone 8.1 New Features Summary

The following information has been gathered regarding the updates and improvements in the new windows phone 8.1. Many changes were already expected, so here we discuss a few of them:

The phone supports a 1080p display along with a quick setup support. The phone also has the additional feature of screen rotation- this feature was absent in the previous versions, and was a source of great worry for consumers.

  • It allows a row to have more than 4 magnets. It has been styled in a way so that one row can have three 2*2 magnets.
  • Another feature has been added, which allows all applications to be ranked in the order of their use.

That is, if the frequency of an application is greater, it can be ranked above the others according to the users' choice. On the top right of the screen there will be a two-way arrow button which will provide a choice of two sorting methods.
But according to some reports it has been rumored, that this feature might get cancelled.

Increased operation notification center:

The speed with which you can reply to your messages has been increased. Before, you had to leave the current application you were using to reply to a message. But now this step has been forgone, and you can directly reply whilst keeping the other application open.

 Shows the battery percentage:

The previous windows versions did not show the percentage of battery. This restricted the users in determining the exact percentage left. But now with the advent of this update, that obstacle has been demolished.

WP 8.1 Kid can turn off the password:

In the current windows 8 a password can be used to lock the children access to the screen or a children’s garden is setup to restrict the child to a specific part of the phone. But now children can unlock the password for a full use.

The new windows 8.1, has the additional feature that helps you to go to the next page by sliding from the left to the right on the screen. The new page is similar to that of the "My" tab to share function; it provides Bluetooth, WiFi, power saving mode, and shortcut to notifications bar.

 "Cortona" personal Assistant:

The verge foreign media confirmed a new feature that integrates weather information, notifications and calendar notification to a single interface by the name of, "Cortona". A few images taken of this interface also show direct access to Bluetooth and location settings. Microsoft had been playing with the idea of a personal assistant for a very long time and now it seems the concept of your very personal assistant is finally under action.

Synchronize with windows 8:

The windows 8.1, helps you to accent your phone by giving the option to synchronize your phone with windows 8 to gain access to colors.

Weekly view of calendar:

This is another new feature showing the whole schedule of the week. This is very beneficial and was not given as an option in the last versions. In the previous versions, only a daily and monthly view of the calendar was available. Another option provided is that you can automatically turn off the phone and SMS reminders. You can also send texts to remind each other.

The start tile will support multiple functions:

These multi- functions in one tile will give easy access to the customers. Instead of going to the settings and finding every application, all of them are present in one tile.
