When it comes to the technology of the OS X and iOS, Apple took a decision to keep both of them cheeseparing as it was more profitable for the firm. Unfortunately, this decision by the company was not as beneficial as it was expected because both will have closely similar technology and it shows if there will be any security flaw in one of them, would surely affect the technology on the other. So, both of these technologies would need patching. Usually it happens that the two platforms having similar security problems need to be patched at the same time.

Yesterday, iOS 7.1.1 has been released by Apple and the company has also included some security patches with it. These patches have been used to update OS X before a few weeks in order to make its performance better. Apple's patching of the Mac holes has revealed the same issues in iOS.

The users will be amazed to know that Apple has not performed the process of patching to OS X and iOS for the very first time. It is not long ago that "goto fail" SSL error occurred to the iOS 7.0.6 update. The same error occurred in the OS X 10.9.2 of the Mac that made the users of the Mac disturbing.

So, it is obvious that Apple's software teams have limited perception over the errors, but not on patching. It is again obvious that there are not two teams working on iOS and OS X. Both of these software have been built by the same team.
