| Why Not to Upgrade your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch to iOS 7.1? Posted: 18 Apr 2014 03:39 PM PDT Now rumours are in air that iOS 7.1.1 is coming soon, nobody knows that what bug is going to be fixed in this update, because iOS 7.1 vanished the freedom of jailbreak in its 5th beta version released in the month before previous month. Apple made its iOS 7.1 looks eye-catching in its promotional campaigns on web-blogs and websites; which forced its users to upgrade to iOS 7.1.
The downgrading and upgrading of iOS devices were made impossible because Apple wanted to stop its users from jailbreaking their device. Suppose you are on iOS 6x, then you can’t downgrade or upgrade to iOS 5x and 7x. Upgrading of iOS is important for developers and advanced users, if they have mistakenly upgraded to iOS 7.1 then it’s impossible to go back to earlier versions. The only way to get the earlier version of iDevice is “saved SHSH blobs”, but beginners even don’t know about SHSH blobs. Jailbreak tweaks and apps are updated according to iOS 7, though jailbreak for iOS 7.1 comes in future, then these apps and tweaks will take some time to upgrade for iOS 7.1 too. So, to some extent jailbreak of iOS 7.1 wouldn’t be beneficial for iOS users, they would have to wait for a couple of months to let all the apps and tweaks to get updated. This fourth drawback is only for jailbroken iOS 7x devices’ users. They will loss all of their purchased apps bought from Cydia store. Furthermore, they will loss a jailbroken iDevice full of freedom and amusement. All of the above disadvantages of upgrading to the latest iOS 7.1 are extracted from my personal experience, because my iPhone 5 was mistakenly upgraded to iOS 7.1 and i lost my jailbreak. Also, you can sale your iOS 7x jailbroken iDevice to jailbreak lovers in an excess amount. Apple is making things more complex for iOS hackers and users, because it don’t want anyone to edit their billion dollars operating system.
