| Windows Phone Marks its 3.2% Market Share in August, 2013 Posted: 05 Oct 2013 03:39 PM PDT According to Comscore, 145 million people have been reported to be in possession of Smartphones in August. The percentage of Smartphone holders that increased by 3 percent, holds a market share of 3.2% out of the total by the Windows Phone.
The market share is minute as compared to the share of other devices. Looking in general, Android is at the top with a market share of 51.6%, followed by Apple with a market share of 40.7% (whose share saw an upward trend of 1.5%), then Blackberry with 4% and lastly the 3% of the Windows phones. Even though Android share decreased by 0.8%, it still manages to hold the top position. However, glimpsing at the statistics gathered in Europe, the market share of Windows Phone reached 8.2% – the highest mark ever achieved by the device! The data provided by ComScore does not show a positive trend in the life of Microsoft's phone gallery but according to Steve Ballmer, the lack of the market share is an 'upside opportunity' to take the phone to a greater level. According to the former CEO of Microsoft, the company knows how doing a great job, and surely will find its way to ensure improvement. | Android 4.3.1, adequately Polished for LTE Nexus 7 users Posted: 05 Oct 2013 06:47 AM PDT On the night of 3rd October, Nexus 7 users witnessed the 4.3.1 Android system being unveiled to their phones. The update has only made an appearance in the latest version of the Nexus 7 2013 models, no other report has been heard regarding any other device getting the update. It is a possibility that the update with a build number of JLS361 has only been specified for Nexus 7. The likelihood of such an instance is quite less, but the news gathered, say so.
There have been quests made to discover information about change logs or what the new build consists of, but to no avail. Before build JLS361, Android had patched up the 4.3 version many times but this is the first time that Android added to its system, a sub-decimal point.
