Windows 8.1 Available to Download Officially Now

The successor to Windows 8 has finally made its grand entry. Crossing the calendars for 17th October, Microsoft has released Windows 8.1 as a free update for all the Windows 8 users.  On the other hand, all the Windows 7 users are being requested to be patient for one more day, as they will be able to purchase this version of 18th October.

The Windows 8.1 codenamed Windows Blue has been one of the most highlighted developments of this season. With Windows 8 playing as the platform for this update, many errors have been fixed and this version is another chance for this style of the operating system to flourish. This version has taken almost an entire year to achieve its' absolute perfect stage.

The new version of Windows has been created in reference to all the feedback received from customers and is in accordance with all their demands. The update will not be a cause of deletion of previous applications on the system but will improve the life of the system far more than you can imagine. Improvements have been allowed in the 'Personalization' and 'Desktop' category, enhancing the experience of the Windows 8.1. Even the Applications and Search has undergone a development. All these enhancements have made the operating system worth a try!

So all the hungry Microsoft consumers using Windows 8 can get a free update from the Windows Store; and the rest using Windows 7 or any other system, will have to purchase Windows 8.1 when it goes on sale.

You can not only reset the preferences, but also can disable the alerts and notifications. It allows you to reset the data restrictions and assign certain actions to the applications. Reset Apps Preferences in HTC OneSteps to Reset App Preferences on HTC One

Step 1: Jump to the "Settings" that can be found on the Home Screen of your Smartphone.

Step 2: Now you will find some options where you need to select "Apps" to move ahead.

Step 3: Here in the Apps menu you will see an icon with three dots. This icon can be found on the top of the screen to the right side. You need to click this icon to move ahead.

Disable App Notifications: This option can be reset if you want to enable or disable the notifications for any app you are currently using.

Default applications for actions: This can be reset if you want to add some apps as your default apps or if you want to remove some apps from this section.

Background Data Restriction for Apps: This option is reset if you want to set any background data restriction for any app you are currently using.

When you reset all these preferences, you do not need to worry about the app data. It will not lose.

Step 5: Now click the option "Reset Apps" to complete the reset.
