New Super Luigi U - Wii U Review (DLC)

Now the DLC is also Nintendo. 3DS owners have been able to realize with, among others, New Super Mario Bros. 2 and Fire Emblem Awakening, which offered each adding a small additional content for a pittance (around € 5) but, however, does not necessarily worth the shot. With this New Super Luigi G, editor shifts into high gear in terms of content, price and exposure. For better or at least better.

The DLC costs 20 €, knowing that it is necessary at this time to have New Super Mario Bros. U to make it work. However, on paper, we are not cheated. If the switch between Mario and Luigi as the main character does not bring much if not a little less accurate than the original gameplay (Luigi jumps higher but undergoes inertia sometimes a bit annoying) he embarks on his bag no less than 82 new levels subject to special rules. Let's be clear where others are not: it preserves the structure of the world, with his boss, his cards, its surroundings, but it is really brand new levels, no simple adaptation of precedents. The downside is that these levels are based on a concept: they are not very large, do not have mid-level checkpoint and must be looped in less than 100 seconds. So yes, there are as many levels as in its predecessor, but the game will still be shorter, although it is more difficult in practice.

It is always possible to pace four players, with all the trouble it brings. The DLC also provides a new character to embody Carottin. No specific gameplay except the rabbit thief game is invulnerable and crossed obstacles and enemies regardless of its physical integrity. He will lose a life like others if it falls into a hole, of course, but instead is an excellent choice for beginners who can follow other players with little to yell. It is of course always possible to accommodate a fifth player on the tablet, which has a supporting role.

The boxed version will be available in late July it as a stand-alone for a likely price of 40 €. A bit expensive for a game that can complete in less than eight hours (looking good all Star Coins), even if the fans will appreciate having a bit more of a challenge.
